At Ocerra, we’re committed to helping you streamline and strengthen your accounts payable process. With every release, we aim to make your experience not only easier but also smarter, faster, and more transparent.
In this update, we’re excited to introduce several enhancements that improve your PO workflows, boost document handling, and—most notably—deliver a major reliability upgrade for MYOB AccountRight users.
Below, you’ll find a detailed look at the latest features and improvements designed to help you get even more out of Ocerra.
New: Read-Only Accountant Analyst Role Now Available
We’ve reinstated the Accountant Analyst role in Ocerra — now with read-only access.
This role is perfect for team members who need full visibility into financial data without the ability to edit or approve anything. It’s a great way to support internal control, audit processes, or give view-only access to external accountants and advisors.
New: Statement Auto-Classification
Note: Enabled by request.
When enabled, the system will try to automatically sort incoming documents into either the Invoices or Statements folder.
It’s not active for any accounts by default, as we’re still testing its accuracy. We’re inviting customers who regularly work with both document types to try it out.
If you'd like to enable this feature, please contact our support team. If you're not using the Statements feature yet, you can check this article to learn how to get started, or reach out to our support team for help.
Archive List Enhancements
We’ve improved the Archive section in Ocerra to make document management clearer and easier to navigate. It now includes three dedicated tabs:

Invoice Archive
PO Archive
Statement Archive
This change ensures better organisation and faster retrieval of archived records when you need them.
Statement Download Option
You can now multi-select and download multiple statements at once. No more repetitive downloading—simply select the statements you need and export them in one go, saving time and improving efficiency for high-volume processing.

Improved File Attachment Reliability for MYOB AccountRight

We’ve made a behind-the-scenes improvement to how Ocerra handles invoice and audit trail attachments when exporting to MYOB AccountRight. Previously, attachments could occasionally fail to upload due to timeouts or large file sizes particularly during peak usage of the MYOB API. While Ocerra already had short retry attempts built in, we’ve now added an additional retry process that runs overnight. This gives failed uploads another chance to go through at a quieter time, helping reduce the likelihood of issues.
Please note that this improvement may not fully eliminate the problem, as it also depends on the performance of the MYOB API. MYOB has confirmed they are reviewing this on their end as well.
Improved Resilience for MYOB AccountRight Integration
We’ve made an important improvement to how Ocerra handles changes in the MYOB AccountRight company file, particularly when the Company File ID changes during upgrades, data migrations or file restorations.
What’s Changed:
Previously, Ocerra relied solely on the Company File ID to maintain the connection with your MYOB file. If that ID changed, the integration could break, requiring manual intervention.
We’ve now introduced a fallback mechanism:
Primary check: Ocerra still uses the Company File ID first.
Fallback check: If the file ID has changed, Ocerra will now automatically check against the Company Name to re-establish the connection.
Automatic update: If a match is found, Ocerra will update and store the new Company File ID automatically—no action required on your end.
Why this matters:
This update reduces the risk of unexpected integration issues and makes the connection between Ocerra and MYOB AccountRight more stable and reliable.
Ocerra Purchase Orders
Invoiced Amount & Status Now in the PO List
We’re giving you even greater visibility into the financial lifecycle of your purchase orders:

Invoiced Amount: A new column shows the total invoiced amount for each PO when it is linked to an invoice in Ocerra.
Status: An additional column indicates whether the PO is Partially Billed or Completed.
With these new fields, you can monitor billing progress at a glance without needing to drill down into individual records.
Customisable Columns on the Purchase Order Screen
You asked—we delivered! You can now customise the columns you see on the Purchase Order screen, just as you can on the Invoice List.

Tailor your PO view to display exactly the information your team needs most: supplier names, amounts, statuses, approvers, and more. This flexibility supports faster reviews and more relevant reporting, adapting to your unique workflow.
PO Approvers Column Enhancement
We’ve refined the PO Approvers column to make approvals even clearer:

Green indicates the final approver has signed off.
Gray shows pending approvals that are still required.
This visual enhancement makes it simple to track approval progress, improving accountability and reducing bottlenecks in your PO process.
Expanded PO Description Field
Need more space to capture key details? You can now enter longer, more descriptive text in the PO Description field. This improvement allows you to provide more context, such as adding detailed information at the line-item level.
Not using Ocerra POs yet?

If you haven’t started using Ocerra’s Purchase Orders yet, now’s a good time to give it a go. It’s a simple and intuitive way to bring more structure to your purchasing process and improve visibility across your approvals and spend. Just let us know if you’d like it enabled on your account.
We hope these enhancements help you and your team work more effectively and confidently in Ocerra. As always, our focus is on listening to your feedback and delivering the improvements that make a real difference to your AP process.
If you have feedback or questions about these enhancements, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
